There has been a need to talk about the unpleasantries of dealing with online impersonators.
As of June 2019, we have spotted a new site that claims to be a cryptocurrency exchange platform. What struck us is that the website, as well as a company running it, has illegally embezzled our brand’s name – CoinGate.
Note that our trademark is registered and protected under European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), which means that no other company has a right to operate under the same name, let alone copy the same stylistic (capital C and G).
At the time of discovery, we also noticed our copyright disclaimer in the footer (coingate.com) and social media buttons leading to our official pages. However, as the site continued to develop, it started to look incredibly sophisticated. As a result, all of our credentials, except the name of a company, were replaced in the process.
We already took all the necessary measures to sort it out. Until it is solved entirely, please be mindful of a situation and keep in mind that these websites listed below have no relation to us.
Additionally, we strongly suggest to do your own due diligence and avoid using any of the unverified services and resources you find online.
Important: All official correspondence is coming from emails ending with @coingate.com. If you get any suspicious emails with our name coming from any other sources, please be kind to inform us and avoid replying to it, or clicking suspicious links that it might contain.
Here are the websites and social media channels that illegally use our brand’s name (enter and use at your risk):
